Wonderful World

O what a wonderful world this would be
If we all open our eyes to see
He is all that we need right now
And we can all come together somewhere...somehow
His door is open no matter who you are
Just take the first step, you'll see it's not so far
Down this road that holds all the answers
Open you heart to something greater
His Holy Book speaks pure and true
And always tells us what we must do
His last Prophet was sent as a guide
An example by which we abide
There is salvation for those who seek
To find the one and only source of Peace
An understanding of why we are here
Who created us, who we must fear
O what a wonderful world this would be
If we all open our eyes to see
He is all that we need right now
And we can all come together somewhere...somehow
Such different people from different lands
We're all descendants of the first Man
We can be one nation facing one God
With no hatred, no envy, no war
Created Equal are you and I
Which of His favours can we ever Deny
We may everything or nothing at all
But our purpose lies with this call
To worship him, to praise him all day
Onto the straight path, let's not go astray
He is the Greatest and most Merciful
And everything acts upon His Will
O what a wonderful world this would be
If we all open our eyes to see
He is all that we need right now
And we can all come together somewhere...somehow
Like every sunrise that brings forth each day
Brings new meaning, New Hope, a new way
Such is the Blessing bestowed upon us
Every hardship and heartache will pass
From the Mountains to the Deep blue sea
Everything in perfect Harmony
And as the stars fill the evening sky
Without us sensing, life is passing by
So if you want a solution, my friend
Seize this Moment, this Day before it ends
Turn to him, Don't you see it's so clear
Believe in Allah, He's always near
O what a wonderful world this would be

Which of Allah's favours can we deny?
Above all creatures, he chose us to be high
To him we belong, to hime is our return
Life in this world is only sojourn
To the angels he commanded that man be respected
Shaytaan heeded not and so was he rejected
Compared to the angels we are but clay
As long as Allah we obey, we'll not go astray
As the best of his creation only us did he deem
This for us is honour this high esteem
His qudrat it is that cause winds to blow
He gives us provision so that we may grow
Which of Allah's favours can we deny?
Above all creatures, he chose us to be high
To him we belong, to hime is our return
Life in this world is only sojourn
To lead man astray, shaytaan made a vow
None can mislead us if to Allah we bow
It's a task to be free from shaytaan's treachery
Iman is our weapon, it's Allah's mercy
Which of Allah's favours can we deny?
Above all creatures, he chose us to be high
To him we belong, to hime is our return
Life in this world is only sojourn
Allah is our creator, he gave us dignity
We face evil each day, in him there is serenity
At the time appointed the world shall perish
Hope for hereafter's success is what we cherish
To show the way he sent prophets to guide
Life may be pleasant, his laws we must abide
Muhammed was the last, rahmatullil-aalameen
Through him Allah sent al-qur'aan al-mubeen
Which of Allah's favours can we deny?
Above all creatures, he chose us to be high
To him we belong, to hime is our return
Life in this world is only sojourn

Moving through the land,
Allah will surely run to us
If we hold out our hand,
A word of hope
A call to every woman and man,
A light until the end of time

Wake up from your sleeping,
Say “بسم الله” as you rise
Wake up from your dreaming
Make وضوء and rub your eyes
As the darkness turns into the dawn
Pray فجر to Allah
As the moon cracks into daylight
Sing “حيّ على الصلاة”
الله أكبر.. الله واحد
لا إله إلا الله حيّ على الصلاة
The burning sun begins to fall
The second time we pray
We turn our faces and our thoughts
The middle of the day
Food, it keeps our bodies strong,
A blessing from Allah
عبادة feeds our spirit
Sing “حيّ على الفلاح”
الله أكبر.. الله واحد
لا إله إلا الله.. حيّ على الفلاح
Some of us, we race with time
We always lose the run
For time is always keeping
With the passing of the sun
But we’ll be straight upon our way
If we bow to pray throughout the day
Taking time for عصر
From our afternoon of play
الله أكبر.. الله واحد
لا إله إلا الله حيّ على الصلاة
As daytime drips away, the setting of the day,
we turn our faces to Allah at مغرب time we bow to pray.
And when the sky is black, the moon awake so steep,
we pray the عشاء for Allah before we go to sleep.
الله أكبر.. الله واحد
لا إله إلا الله قد قامت الصلاة

Animals Love to Hear Qur'an

There was a chipmunk climbing up a tree,
I stopped to look at him and he stopped to look at me.
When I said “hello”, he didn’t understand and he went to run away,
I recited from Qur’an and he decided to stay
Animals love to hear Qur’an, try it out some day
They’ll stop to listen carefully to every word you say.
Allah created animals, Allah created Man
And then sent a book to guide us all,
Even animals love Qur`an
Sitting at the window to ponder at the sky,
I saw a little bird as it flew by.
I recited from Qur’an and it wasn’t very long
’til the bird sat near my window and it started to sing along.
Animals love to hear Qur’an, try it out some day
They’ll stop to listen carefully to every word you say.
Allah made the chipmunks and the birds, Allah created Man,
And then sent a book to guide us all,
Even animals love Qur`an
Playing in the yard on a warm, sunny day
A shy little kitten watched me play.
I bent down to pat her on the head but I think she was scared of me,
I recited from Qur’an, she smiled and brushed against my knee
Animals love to hear Qur’an, try it out some day

Allah made the chipmunks, birds and cats, Allah created Man
And then sent a book to guide us all,

Allah made horses and dogs and bats and camels and gnats,
and pigs and cows and spiders and chickens and elephants and crocodiles,
and dolphins and monkeys and beaver and sheep and lions and zebras and whales and
emu and…
Hey! Hey! What’s an emu?
I don’t know!!
...But even animals love Qur’an!

Mount Hira

The same moon, the same star
Gazed right down at Rasulullah
They saw him climb, down from Hira
Now a Prophet, Prophet of Allah
And in the sky, was Angel Gabraeel
He said o Muhammad, o Rasulullah
And so he walked, into Mecca
In his heart echoed Iqra, Iqra
And from the world, darkness was gone
With salvation, rising with dawn
For here was a blessing, a gift from Allah
And the light of Muhammed, outshone that star
Muhammed is, and always will be
The last and final prophet of Allah
He was a mercy, unto the universe
Peace and blessings be on Al-Mustafa
So he began, this perfect man
Sending his word, across the land
Leading only, by his Sunnah
And the Qur'an, the word of Allah
He brought the answer to this cruel world
Our beloved prophet, Mohammed
Muhammed is, and always will be
The last and final prophet of Allah
He was a mercy, unto the universe
Peace and blessings be on Al-Mustafa
So from that cave, in Mount Hira
To the holy city of medina
In life and death, he showed Islam
Opened our hearts to the wealth of Imaan
So 'o Allah, hear my Du'aa
Keep me as part of the prophetճ ummah
Muhammed is, and always will be
The last and final prophet of Allah
He was a mercy, unto the universe
Peace and blessings be on Al-Mustafa

the night has covered up the sun,
I have stood so often before you to pray,
but I wonder Allah, tell me, what did I do today?
Did I remember the words of Al-Fatihah?
Did I take time to thank you for all that I have?
Did I call on you to guide my way?
Tell me what did I do today?
I have whispered to you as I made Ru’ku
Subhana Rabey’yal Adheem.
But was my faith bright or grey?
Oh Allah, tell me, what did I do today?
Did I smile at my brother?
Was I kind to my Mother?
Did I teach another something I know?
Or did my love of this world lead me astray?
Tell me what did I do today?

Rabbana Lakal Hamd.
Sami Allah hu liman hamida
Rabbana Lakal Hamd.
Though I’ve bowed to you with my face in the dust,
Subhana Raby’yal a`la.
The blessings you give I could never repay.
Oh Allah, tell me, what did I do today?
Did I use my time?
Did I use my mind?
If I search my heart what will I find?
The light of your guidance is a glimmering ray,
Tell me, what did I do today?
Oh Allah, Tell me what did I do today?

They say, “Oh poor girl you are so beautiful you know
it’s a shame that you cover up your beauty so.”
She just smiles and graciously responds reassuringly,
“This beauty that I have is just a simple part of me.
This body that I have, no stranger has a right to see.
These long clothes and this shawl I wear, ensure my modesty.
Faith is far less fickle than fashion. Wouldn’t you agree?”
This hijab, this mark of piety,
is an act of faith, a symbol, for all the world to see.
A simple cloth, to preserve her dignity.
So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.
They tell her, “Girl don’t you know this is the west and you are free?
You don’t need to be oppressed, ashamed of your femininity.”
She just shakes her head and she speaks so assuredly,
“See the billboards and the magazines that line the check-out isles,
with their phony painted faces and their air-brushed smiles?
Well their sheer clothes and low cut gowns they are really not for me.
You call it freedom, I call it anarchy.”
This hijab, this mark of piety,
is an act of faith, a symbol, for all the world to see.
A simple cloth, to protect her dignity.
So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity.
They say, “Sister of belief you are so strong,
your scarf it is a flag of this faith where you belong.”
She just drops here gaze then she smiles with humility,
“I did not wear this shawl at all less than one year ago.
I’ve been judged, misjudged and mis-understood
by those who do not know that,
faith cannot be measured by the garments that we sew.
Beauty, faith and women: objects reduced to a fashion show.”
This hijab, this mark of piety,
is an act of faith, a symbol, for all the world to see.

So lift the veil from your heart to see the heart of purity
When we lift the veils from our hearts and seek the heart of purity?
